Over 200 participants and experts from various cities in Ukraine and worldwide took part in the international conference Veloforum 2019, which took place in Vinnytsia on October 4–6.

The main theme of Veloforum 2019 was “Cycle-nomics: the impact of cycling on urban economy.”

The three days of the forum consisted of lectures, research presentations, discussions, workshops, tours, coffee with experts, a poster exhibition, parties and an award ceremony Bike-Friendly Employer 2019 in Vinnytsia.

« This is the 11th Veloforum in Ukraine, which we have organized together with our local partners. Each Veloforum provides representatives of local authorities, businesses and the NGO sector with an opportunity to study, to meet each other and to unite, so that they can make the bicycle a safe and convenient means of transportation, and Ukrainian cities — comfortable for their citizens. This is our contribution into the transportation policy, civil society development and sustainable local development», — U-Cycle director Anastasiia Makarenko

In 2020, Veloforum will take place in Uzghorod as part of the cross-border project “Bike AcceNT: Bike Access Connects Territories.”
