How cyberattacks and disinformation are synchronously destabilizing the digital space of Ukraine in the face of Russian aggression
The Center for Democracy and the Rule of Law team analyzed the relationship between cyberattacks and disinformation campaigns against Ukraine since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion. The study presents various manifestations of this relationship, such as: cloning or hacking of websites to spread disinformation, DDoS attacks and satellite signal jamming to destabilize Ukraine’s information space, and various phishing methods to spread false information. The study's results contain legal, technical, and educational recommendations for effective counteraction to these threats.
